Bio

My name is Miranda Massey and I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky.  I graduated with Honors in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and a Bachelor of Art in Spanish.  I am currently in the Occupational Therapy program here at EKU, where I am pursuing my Master of Science.  After I complete this two year program, I hope to work as a traveling therapist before continuing my education and pursuing a Doctorate degree.  During my undergrad career, I participated in both the NOVA and Honors program, served as a NOVA Program Peer Leader, a Colonel Crew Leader, Vice President and President of the Student Alumni Ambassadors, a member of the Student Occupational Science Association, participated in the Kentucky Adapted Physical Education program at the Telford YMCA, and worked with the Center for Student Accessibility as a tutor and in the Office of Alumni and Donor Engagement.  I believe my degrees in Spanish and Occupational Science along with my travel experiences and the opportunities I have had to work with a variety of students and individuals on and off campus have helped shaped me as a student and a leader. I hope to combine my interest of culture, language, diversity, and helping others not only in my future role as an Occupational Therapist, but as a Graduate Assistant of this Office and a student of the university.
