      EKU Earns Excellence in Diversity Awards

2017

Eastern Kentucky University is the only regional university in Kentucky to receive the 2017 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from Insight into Diversity magazine.


Minority Access honored Eastern Kentucky University as an institution committed to diversity again for 2017. Maya Mapp, Associate Director of Admissions, accepted the award on behalf of EKU at the National Role Models Conference on Oct 1, 2017.


2016

Eastern Kentucky University is one of only two institutions in Kentucky to receive the 2016 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from Insight into Diversity magazine.

The HEED Award recognizes U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. EKU will be featured along with the 82 other recipients in the November 2016 issue of Insight into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.
